Write a 5-6 page persuasive essay in which you attempt to change or reinforce the attitudes, beliefs, opinions, or behaviors of your audience.
I haven′t really picked a topic, but was considering – Should criminals be rehabilitated or punished? I feel they should be rehabilitated, but if you feel differently and choose this topic go for it! If you have a better controversial persuasive argument topic, please feel free to use it. Just please don′t choose one that is super overdone or not grade level appropriate. This is for a critical thinking / philosophy class and the professor is very on point (for lack of a better descriiption).

The assignment requires that you have a minimum of four scholarly sources (books or peer-reviewed journal articles) cited in your paper. You are welcome to include popular publications in your research (like Wikipedia), but these are not authorities so at least four sources should be scholarly in nature. Your persuasive essay must be on a controversial topic and include your response to counter arguments. This is a shorter paper, so make sure your arguments are tight. Don′t overdo it or devote most of your paper to counter arguments.
