This week you will discuss one of Adler’s key therapeutic techniques, critically evaluating its use in a substance abuse counseling context. You may pick any of the following techniques that are named in your text or highlighted in the lecture: exploring the family constellation, challenging private logic, assessing early recollections, conducting a subjective interview, and encouraging.
In this discussion you are expected to cover the following:
Descriiption of the technique, including how and when (which Phase) it is conducted, as well as its purpose (goals).
