Write a 6–8-page paper, discussing the rationale for selecting a systemic model. Include in your rationale a detailed description of the problem you are currently working on with a client or client system you will be using for your Unit 9 assignment.

SCENARIO:
I am currently working with a 25 year old, caucasian, female who has been dealing with severe anxiety especially in regards to her health, and leaving her house. She has expressed that she has been in self isolation since the pandemic started, and lately has been having difficulty getting her basic needs such as grocery shopping, driving, and socializing with her family and friends.She has stated that she is experiencing physical symptoms such as racing heart, dissociation, sweating, etc.  The client stated that she had a close family member pass away from covid, her family has a history of anxiety, and firmly expressed that she “does not want to follow in her family’s footsteps”. She admitted to feeling “a bit depressed” due to her anxiety. She does not work since she is a full time student, and her only daily social interaction is with her boyfriend of 5 years who she lives with and her cats. She has expressed that her anxiety has been now causing some problems within her connection. She mentioned that her boyfriend is open to coming in for couples therapy, but she does want to see the therapist on her own before this as she feels this is more coming from within.She has also stated that she has had her physical health checked by a multitude of doctors and received a clean bill of health, leading her to believe that this is anxiety.

Due to my client having health anxiety, and depression due to not only the pandemic but also intergenerational traumas and cycles, I feel like it would be really beneficial to help the client, especially due to the two major presenting challenges that the individual is facing.
